• Utensil too large – blocks air flow.
• Oven thermostat control operation is in the broil mode.
• Wrong rack position.

Solutions:

• Check air flow.
• Use bright and smaller utensils.
• Check spacing of utensils side-to-side and front-to-back.
• Increase air supply.
• Turn the oven thermostat control to “OFF” and reset oven thermostat control rotating from “OFF” to the desired temperature.

• Surface control has not been completely turned to the LITE position.
• Burner ports are clogged.
• Burner not positioned properly.

• Push in and turn control to the LITE position until burner ignites, then turn control to desired flame setting.

• Verify that the burners are positioned properly on the orifice hoods and the burners are sitting flat on the burner support with tabs engaged in slots.

No! Burner flame size will appear to be low at the high position. Ignition of burners will experience slow ignition.

Proper top pilot setting is 1/8” high. If your pilot is adjusted higher, you will experience sooting under the main top area and pilot outage.

Your range has one module which generates the spark for all points of ignition. Remember, gas is flowing from only the burner valve in use. On some models, once the surface knob has been engaged, sparking will continue until released.

Your range most likely uses a safety valve, which generally takes from 45 to 60 seconds for the oven burner to come on.

• The plug on the ranges is not properly plugged into the electrical outlet.
• The circuit breaker in your home has been tripped or a fuse has been blown.

Solution:

• Before checking the plug, disconnect the range power supply at the household distribution panel by removing the fuse or switching off the circuit breaker.

Solutions:

• Houses along sea coasts are exposed to salt air. Protect pans as much as possible from direct exposure to salt air.
• Foods with acid, such as tomatoes, if allowed to stand in/on pans will cause corrosion.
• Remove and wash drip pans as soon as possible after spillover.
